OX App Suite
New features with v8.31
- The focus for this release is improving stability and refining the user experience. Key updates include more streamlined setup instructions, for OX App Suite for Mobile, and more refined mobile layouts. This all makes the mobile experience more user-friendly, especially on devices with notches and in landscape mode. Avatars and fallback images have also been ‘smoothed out’ for a more consistent look. We have also removed some of the outdated functions to keep things running smoothly. Finally, we have resolved a few bugs across the app. This ensures smoother navigation and more reliability overall.

OX Abuse Shield
New features with v2.12.0
- Now builds a separate luajit package (`wforce-lua-dist`), based on the openresty luajit fork. This is to address some issues found with stock luajit. The package also includes some lua modules that wforce typically makes use of.
- Build the wforce-minimal image for both arm64 and amd64, and add provenance.
- Fix centos-7/el-7 builds to still work after centos-7 went EOL.
- Add support for Debian Bookworm, remove support for Debian Buster.
- Enable webserver tls and password to be specified via an external secret.
- Tested on Kubernetes 1.28 through 1.30.
- Use wforce and replfwd images based on alpine, which are much smaller and more secure.
PowerDNS Protect
New features with v2.0
- Security Dashboard for Users
PowerDNS Protect 2.0 comes with a security dashboard that allows users to view reports that show the security status of their network and the connected devices. It informs about blocked attempts to access filtered content, potentially malware-infected devices, and more. Security reports can be viewed over a time period ranging from one to thirty days. - Enhanced Notifications and Event Aggregation
The new version provides a simpler way of displaying, consolidating, and acting on real-time notifications about events such as attempts to visit blacklisted webpages, blocked phishing attacks, and more. - Homework Time
Homework time provides a feature whereby a more restrictive set of filtering rules can be applied during certain times, for example, to support children doing their homework and removing distractions such as messaging apps or video streaming. This can be done on a per-profile basis so different family members can have different homework times and settings.
